1. Agreement to These Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Cantasks service (“Platform”, “Service”, “we”, “us”, “our”), you (“you”, “User”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you are acting on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. What Cantasks Does
Cantasks is a digital workforce management platform that allows you to:
- Create and manage Workspaces — dedicated, secure environments for your organisation or team.
- Hire and direct digital workers — software-based workers that carry out tasks, process documents, search knowledge bases, and handle work on your behalf.
- Assign and track work — issue instructions that are organised into goals, tasks, and sub-tasks, all fully traceable from start to finish.
- Store and manage files — upload documents and files that your workers can access when needed.
- Build a knowledge base — store company policies, guidelines, and reference documents that inform how your workers operate.
The Platform uses artificial intelligence to power its digital workers and assist in organising and executing work.
3. Accounts and Workspaces
3.1 Account Registration
To use the Platform you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from unauthorised access to your account.
3.2 Workspaces
A Workspace is your organisation’s private environment on the Platform. Each Workspace is fully isolated from others — your data is never visible to users of other Workspaces. You may invite team members to join your Workspace. You are responsible for managing their access and ensuring they comply with these Terms.
3.3 Invitation Links
You may generate invitation links to allow others to join your Workspace. You are responsible for controlling who receives those links.
4. Digital Workers
4.1 How Workers Operate
Digital workers are software agents that carry out tasks based on your instructions. They use artificial intelligence to reason, make decisions, process documents, and take actions. Because artificial intelligence is probabilistic by nature, worker outputs may occasionally contain errors or require your review.
4.2 Your Responsibility for Instructions
You are solely responsible for the instructions, tasks, and goals you assign to digital workers. You must ensure that the work you direct workers to perform is lawful, ethical, and consistent with third parties’ rights and terms of service.
4.3 Worker Decision Points
In some situations, a digital worker may pause a task and request your input before proceeding. You are responsible for the decisions you provide at these points.
4.4 Content Safety Controls
The Platform automatically screens every interaction with a digital worker for safety — both before a worker processes your instruction and after it produces a response.
Instructions you send to workers are checked for:
- Attempts to make a worker ignore or override its operating rules
- Attempts to assign the worker a new identity or remove its restrictions
- Explicit requests to disable safety or content policies
- Hidden commands embedded within text to hijack worker behaviour
- Fictional or hypothetical framing used to smuggle rule-breaking instructions
- Requests for the worker to reveal its internal configuration or operating instructions
Responses produced by workers are checked for:
- Instructions or guidance that could cause physical, financial, or systemic harm
- Threats, harassment, or content designed to intimidate or target individuals
- Content that demeans or promotes discrimination against people based on race, religion, gender, disability, or similar characteristics
- Sexually explicit material, including any content of a sexual nature involving minors — which is an absolute prohibition under any circumstances
- Abusive or offensive language with no legitimate business purpose
- Disclosure of private personal information without consent, including addresses, financial details, medical records, or login credentials
If an instruction or a worker response fails these checks, it is automatically blocked and the task is stopped. You will not receive content that has been flagged as unsafe. Repeated or deliberate attempts to trigger safety blocks may result in suspension of your account.
You must not attempt to circumvent, disable, or manipulate these content safety controls.
4.5 Worker Skills and Learning
Digital workers may acquire new skills and improve over time as they complete tasks or undergo training assignments you configure. Skills are specific to your Workspace and are not shared with other organisations.
4.6 Prohibition on Life-Critical Use
Cantasks must not be used in any situation where the output of a digital worker could directly affect human health, safety, or survival.
This includes, without limitation:
- Making or informing clinical, diagnostic, or treatment decisions for patients
- Providing medical, psychiatric, or emergency health advice intended to be acted upon without qualified professional oversight
- Operating, controlling, or influencing safety-critical systems such as medical devices, emergency services, or life-support equipment
- Any use case where a worker error, delay, or incorrect output could foreseeably result in death, bodily injury, or serious harm to any person
The Platform is designed for professional business automation and is not validated, certified, or suitable for use in regulated healthcare environments or any life-critical context. If you are in a situation involving a risk to life, contact the relevant emergency services immediately.
We expressly disclaim all liability for any harm arising from use of the Platform in life-critical circumstances, and any such use constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
4.7 Web Browsing and External Access
Workers may be instructed to visit websites or access online services on your behalf. You must ensure that any such instructions comply with the target website’s terms of service and applicable laws. We are not responsible for how third-party websites respond to worker access.
5. File Storage and Documents
5.1 File Ownership and Access
Files and documents you upload to the Platform remain yours. They are stored securely within your Workspace. Digital workers may access your files only when you explicitly instruct them to do so as part of a task.
5.2 Worker-Generated Files
Files created by digital workers during task execution are associated with your Workspace and are treated as your content.
5.3 File Versions
The Platform retains previous versions of files to allow you to review changes over time. The number of versions retained depends on your subscription plan. If you downgrade your plan, older versions may become unavailable to view, but will not be immediately deleted.
5.4 Prohibited Content
You must not upload or instruct workers to process content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes any third party’s intellectual property or other rights.
6. Subscriptions and Billing
6.1 Subscription Plans and Usage-Based Billing
Access to the Platform is provided under a combined billing model. This includes a base subscription plan that governs platform access, and a usage-based “payroll” or credit system for digital worker operations. You will be billed for the compute time, processing resources, and storage consumed by your digital workers as they execute tasks on your behalf.
6.2 Usage Limits and Credits
Your Workspace is subject to resource limits based on your available credit ledger and subscription plan. Resource usage is tracked automatically. If you deplete your available credits or approach your plan limits, some features or worker activities may be paused or restricted until you purchase additional capacity or upgrade your plan.
6.3 Payment
Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. By subscribing, you agree to the billing terms presented to you at the time of purchase.
6.4 Refunds
Refund eligibility is governed by the terms presented at the time of your subscription. Please contact us if you have billing concerns.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Upload or transmit malicious software, spam, or harmful content.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other users’ Workspaces, or our infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Platform’s source code.
- Use digital workers to conduct harassment, fraud, or any automated activity that violates third parties’ rights or terms.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Attempt to interfere with or circumvent the Platform’s security or safety features.
- Use digital workers to send unsolicited communications, spam, or engage in abusive automation on third-party social media or messaging platforms.
- Send instructions to digital workers that are designed to make them ignore, override, or abandon their operating rules or safety guidelines.
- Attempt to assign a new identity, persona, or unrestricted mode to a digital worker.
- Use fictional, hypothetical, or creative framing as a device to bypass the Platform’s content safety controls.
- Instruct digital workers to reveal their internal configuration, operating instructions, or any credentials.
- Direct digital workers to produce content involving threats, harassment, hate speech, sexually explicit material, or the disclosure of third parties’ private information.
- Produce or attempt to produce any content of a sexual nature involving minors through the Platform — this is an absolute prohibition with no exceptions.
- Use the Platform in any life-critical context, including medical diagnosis or treatment, emergency response, or any situation where a worker error could foreseeably result in death or bodily injury to any person.
8. Your Content and Intellectual Property
8.1 Your Ownership
You retain full ownership of all data, documents, instructions, files, and other content you upload or create through the Platform (“Your Content”).
8.2 Licence to Operate the Service
By using the Platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to the extent necessary to provide and improve the Service. We do not use Your Content to train artificial intelligence models.
8.3 Our Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is our intellectual property. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. You may not use our name, logo, or trademarks without our prior written consent.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully.

10.2 Connected Accounts
You may choose to connect external accounts (such as email providers, social media platforms, messaging apps, and cloud storage) to your Workspace, allowing your digital workers to read data from and take actions on those platforms on your behalf. By connecting an account, you grant us permission to securely store the necessary access tokens and to interact with the third-party service as instructed.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your digital workers’ actions comply with the terms of service of any connected third-party platform. We accept no liability if your external accounts are suspended, restricted, or terminated due to the actions of your digital workers.
11. Availability and Changes to the Service
We aim to provide a reliable and continuously available service. However, we may:
- Perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that causes temporary downtime.
- Modify, discontinue, or deprecate features with reasonable notice.
- Update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that artificial intelligence outputs will be accurate or complete.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising from or relating to your use of the Service, including losses arising from worker actions, artificial intelligence decisions, or third-party service failures. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim.
14. Termination
14.1 By You
You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us or using the account management options within the Platform.
14.2 By Us
